President: Provides leadership and direction to the Association Leads Executive Council in developing an annual plan and establishes goals for the year. Ensures bylaws are followed. Makes every effort possible to represent Association in external events. Works with leadership to ensure continuity across Association. Acts as a resource for Executive Council. Vice President: Works closely with the President Actively participates in Association meetings Presides over Executive Council meetings in the President’s absence Shadows President: Is aware of ongoing projects and events and the role of the President in executing these events. Provides a positive image of the Association and encourages constituents to become members. Project Manager – 2 positions (Cameroon and Diaspora): Works with the Executive Council to develop collaborative opportunities to advance the mission of the Association. Cultivates a culture of team engagement in the strategic planning and direction of the Association. Ensures that programs and events are designed and implemented to meet engagement and participation goals. Identifies, researches, develops and presents to the Executive Council new initiatives that advance the goals and objectives of alumni engagement and participation. Develops initiatives aimed at fostering projects to improve the Secondary Education and infrastructure in GHS Limbe Supports high-functioning relationships between the Association and GHS Limbe. Secretary-General – 2 positions (Cameroon and Diaspora): Participates in vital Executive Council leadership Take minutes of scheduled Executive Council meetings, disseminates minutes to the Executive Council for review, and post them to the general forum. Performs annual audit of the records of the Association. Social Secretary – 2 positions (Cameroon and Diaspora): Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of several of the Association’s events annually, including but not limited to yearly conventions, jubilees, and other events Assists in planning, coordinating and implementing special outreach and regional programs including, but not limited to, Social Networking, outreach to other School Associations, etc. Treasurer – 2 positions (Cameroon and Diaspora): Works closely with the Financial Secretary in handling funds. Leads the Executive Council in preparing a draft budget for the year which includes annual registration, replenishment of funds, and other funds for projects. Manages Association’s coffers and makes financial statements available to the Executive Council. Financial Secretary – 2 positions (Cameroon and Diaspora): Works closely with the Treasurer in handling funds Keeps a record of all funds collected, deposited and disbursed. Provides proper financial oversight including, but not limited to, reviewing annual budget. |
